Pokimane Addresses Activision Blizzard Titles

After everything that has happened at Activision Blizzard, Imane “Pokimane” Anys isn’t a fan of the company.

In 2021, the state of California sued Activision Blizzard for sexism, harassment, and gender discrimination, and a number of troubling behaviors were revealed. As a result of the employees’ demands for change, many leaders have stepped down. However, the debate is far from done.

In 2021, the state of California sued Activision Blizzard for sexism, harassment, and gender discrimination, and a number of troubling behaviors were revealed. As a result of the employees’ demands for change, many leaders have stepped down. However, the debate is far from done.

Pokimane chose to make her feelings towards Activision Blizzard public on December 8th. She hasn’t played the games since the lawsuit was revealed in July 2021, and she appears to be encouraging other financially secure streamers to do the same. Pokimane remarked; “I think if you are a financially well-off streamer, you just f–king shouldn’t.”

Pokimane acknowledged that some streamers are in a position where refusing to play Activision Blizzard titles such as Overwatch and World of Warcraft would have a negative influence on their income. She also wasn’t about to let the streamers off the hook. Pokimane added; “I think in that case, they should still be extremely vocal about how they’re against this if they are still going to play their game.”
