People Think PewDiePie’s New VTuber Avatar Looks Like A Gym Leader

Popular Youtube streamer and content creator Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg aka PewDiePie recently returned from his month long hiatus from streaming. As he returned, he also announced that he will be turning off his facecam in his future streams as he debuts as a Virtual Youtuber. His Virtual avatar immediately went viral among his fans and supporters.

It also went viral in the Pokemon community as they noticed that Pewdiepie’s avatar looks like a Trainers from the wildly beloved Game Freak RPGs. One user even wrote on twitter stating; “Why does pewdiepie’s Vtuber avatar look like he’s going to run up on me and demand a pokémon battle?” Because of this, many users agreed with the comparison and it became a thread on twitter with others jokingly stating; “I bet he’s that one trainer that just has multiple of a single pre-evolution, and then a final of the second evolution.”

Pewdiepie claimed that his Virtual avatar was inspired by other popular faceless content creators such as Corpse husband and Dream. Also, Pewdiepie is actually a big fan of the Pokemon series. In the past, a fan had made a custom holographic trading card game item featuring his photo and he was thrilled by it.
