PewDiePie Responds

PewDiePie, the YouTuber best known as Felix Kjellberg, has replied to criticism following his transfer to Japan.

The online celebrity has slowly risen to become one of YouTube’s most prominent and influential users, known for his hilarious gaming videos and shows. PewDiePie has been the subject of controversy in the past, such as when he uttered a racial slur on a livestream in 2017, and now his transfer to Japan has sparked further criticism.

PewDiePie has amassed a big and devoted following on YouTube over the years, and he has repeatedly utilized his celebrity to effect change and raise awareness for certain causes.

Although his popularity has allowed him to fund good causes such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the World Wildlife Fund, the creator has been criticized for using racist and anti-Semitic words in videos and livestreams.

PewDiePie is regarded as YouTube’s most successful video creator, with millions of dollars in annual subscriptions and donations. In 2019, PewDiePie also rejected changes to YouTube’s harassment policy, displaying his capacity to influence beneficial change on the platform.

PewDiePie explains his recent move to Japan and responds to some controversy in a new YouTube video. For years, the content creator had planned to relocate to Japan, but the COVID-19 epidemic apparently caused the move to be postponed.

PewDiePie reads several angry comments during the video, which is one of his first from Japan, predicting that he will only stay in Japan for six months before returning to Sweden.

The star streamer responds by saying that his decision to move to Japan was “a long and calculated decision” and that he intends to stay. Other remarks indicate that his money enabled him to easily enter the country, which PewDiePie categorically denies.

While his move to Japan has sparked debate among his fans, PewDiePie was recently visited by police over a knife he purchased on Wish. PewDiePie presumably bought the butterfly knife as a fidget toy before traveling to Japan, as he has been seen doing in previous videos.

The police came knocking to examine the purchase because owning these folding knives is illegal in Sweden and the rest of the United Kingdom. The circumstances behind the police visit are unknown, however it appears that PewDiePie kept at least some butterfly knives. PewDiePie’s transfer to Japan has been planned for years, but it appears that some fans and adversaries are dissatisfied with the YouTuber’s new living circumstances.

PewDiePie, on the other hand, has addressed these concerns and appears committed to making a living in the Land of the Rising Sun. In the summer, Japan may be hotter than Sweden, but PewDiePie remains the most popular YouTube content creator.
