PewDiePie & Jacksepticeye Amused by Insane Deepfake of Themselves

During the recent Pewdiepie and Jacksepticeye live broadcast, they both ended up laughing together as they went on to watch an insane deepfake of themselves. Deepfakes are synthetic media in which a person in an existing image or video is replaced with someone else’s likeness. While the act of faking content is not new, deepfakes leverage powerful techniques from machine learning and artificial intelligence to manipulate or generate visual and audio content with a high potential to deceive.

Deepfakes have been popping up all over the internet for years as there are some stars like WillNe trolling TommyInnit among others with hilarious synthetic copies. However, YouTube icons PewDiePie and jacksepticeye have discovered a deepfake of themselves during one of their recent live streams and their reaction to this are completely hilarious. In the stream, Pewdiepie scrolled through the subreddit and both pewdiepie and jacksepticeye came across a crazily detailed deepfake of themselves. The video shown was a conversation between two guys who want to make it on YouTube.

The first guy confesses to the other that he’s shy and doesn’t think he can make it and the other guy was a “Youtuber” that tells the other that he would make it after an inspirational speech. PewDiePie cast as shy guy and Jack as his cool YouTuber friend. While watching, Jacksepticeye was stunned by the fact that the voice was similar to him. The hilarity begins as we get further into the video, with Jack’s character using “shay” instead of “shy” and sending both YouTubers into a frenzy. Deepfakes are pretty contentious, with many complaining that their likeness is being stolen and exploited for sinister purposes. However, this entire situation of Pewdiepie and Jacksepticeye is a lot of fun.
