OTK Streamer Nmplol Mocks Twitch

The twitch community and some streamers including twitch streamer nick polom aka Nmplol were shocked upon learning that the streaming platform had seemingly banned the word “obese” from its predictions function, with twitch streamer nmplol mocking twitch saying that twitch should “grow up”. The twitch streaming platform drew hefty controversy in December 2020 when they decided to ban the words simp and virgin from the platform. Whoever said these words received a ban from the platform.

During nmplol’s April 10th live broadcast, while he was about to do a weight test live on his cooking stream, he decided to run a poll and went on to asked his chat to predict if he would be overweight or obese when he stepped on a scale to be weighed. But then shortly after, some of his followers informed him that they were unable to select the word ‘obese’ as an option and because of this, they started spamming the chat with this issue. nmplol stated; “Time out. Twitch, we’re trying to run a prediction, and you won’t let it type obese. Are you that sensitive? Come on guys. That’s so stupid… It’s a real-world term. Jesus.”

Also, the streaming community immediately responded negatively to Twitch’s ban of the word “obese.” as many felt that the platform was being overly sensitive. Regardless, after nmplol himself, he found out that he weighed less than 200lbs, putting his BMI at 28. This puts him in the “overweight” category, one category below “obese”.
