OmegaPro Pleads to be Unbanned

Twitch streamer OmegaPro was recently banned due to a DMCA takedown strike but the streamer claims that he was wrongfully terminated as the second DMCA strike he got was for the same clip as the first which was deleted. Twitch streamer OmegaPro received his first DMCA strike which caused his first ban of two days due to infringement of copyright while showing Vampire Diaries.

On May 12th during his return while playing Persona, he once again received a ban which led to a permanent ban. However, OmegaPro believes that this is for the same clip and has been done in error. He posted a tweet on his twitter account addressing his situation. He wrote; “I got banned for the same VOD that I was banned for last week.. a VOD that’s already been deleted”.

OmegaPro has more than 33k followers on his twitch channel while 100k followers on his youtube channel and he went on to claim that he relies on the platform as his main source of income but sadly, the second ban in just a week led to Twitch terminating his account permanently.

He claimed that his account was wrongfully terminated and he pleaded for an unban as he believes that the suspension was a mistake. Here’s what he told in Dexerto: “The copyright claim seemed to be the exact same as the one I had received the week prior, the only difference being that the claim states I streamed I streamed the same content today that I did last week. The time stamp given with the copyright takedown was a moment in my stream where I was playing Persona 5. The copyrighted content was Vampire Diaries.”
