Nintendo faces Backlash

Producing personalized Joycon shells is a profitable industry today, something which is understandably at odds with Nintendo’s interests. All the profits go to the JED Foundation, a non-profit group devoted to the safety and prevention of suicide among the youth and young adults. It’s an excellent cause, and the Joycon shells look fantastic. However, it seems like it wasn’t meant to be.

In September, Nintendo’s gaming threatened them and had a cessation and desist order issued. The news caught the breeze on the social media, and the fans were left feeling more furious and upset than they were.

It is an unpleasant circumstance that has added to the current discussion of Nintendo’s policies. Some of their fans are naturally saddened and disappointed, while others don’t think it’s a huge deal, and there’s a simple remedy.

Some claim that Nintendo is not doing something wrong, and the entire thing has been blown out of proportion. Someone also said; “The actual issue is rather benign and involves an actual infringement of the IP”, and added by the other person; “What am I missing from here”?

Either way, it’s a hot topic that’s got fans torn up on both sides. It means that the Nintendo Audience is really dedicated to it even though they’re at odds with other gamers and the business responsible for the games they play.
