Ninja Talks About Future With Twitch

Despite the newest issue surrounding Twitch, famous broadcaster Ninja hasn’t said if he’ll renew his streaming contract with the service.

Twitch recently decided to amend its policies regarding branded content, and this decision was not well received. Streamers from all over the platform, like Asmongold, Ludwig, MoistCr1TiKaL, and even MrBeast, criticized the choice. Because of this, the streaming site promptly retracted its new policies, but even this hasn’t satisfied many streamers who believe their trust has been betrayed.

One of them, who is perhaps Twitch’s greatest name, recently disclosed how these modifications would effect his future on the service. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has had a contentious relationship with Twitch, briefly abandoning it for the emerging Mixer before coming back and currently streaming on a variety of sites. Ninja made it known throughout the recent dispute that he, too, did not like the new branding principles. Ninja stated on Twitter that he will continue to stream on Twitch for the foreseeable future because of a contract he has with the service that was agreed to before the new rules took effect.

However, Ninja responded extremely cryptically when asked if he would be leaving Twitch once his contract expired, “we shall see.” Given that he is already toying with streaming on their new rival Kick, that does not seem to be a ringing endorsement from one of the biggest names on the platform.

Ninja appears to be on guard due to potential limitations on his multi-streaming arrangement and the new Twitch TOS that are being implemented. But it demonstrates that Twitch’s revision to its branding guidelines is having an effect.
