Ninja Opens Up On The Everyday Struggles Of A Streamer

Richard Tyler Blevins, commonly known online as Ninja is an American YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and a professional eSports Gamer who is mostly known for playing and streaming Fortnite: Battle Royale. He now live-streams and plays Fortnite: Battle Royale, Fall Guys, VALORANT, and Among Us together with other big streamers on the platform.

Ninja was recently being interviewed by The New York Times and there he talked about everything including his Mixer move and the everyday struggles of being a streamer. The New York Times asked Ninja regarding how he thinks streaming for hours a day by tens of thousands of people would have an affect on him. Ninja responds stating; “You have to be the most sure person on the planet if you’re going to get into this [streaming] and not be completely torn apart.” Furthermore, Ninja also shared regarding the negativity he had to face when he switched between platforms.

Ninja stated; “I knew that I wasn’t going to be the biggest streamer in terms of viewers anymore. You don’t be the No. 1 streamer, leave, come back and you’re No. 1 again. I get people coming in my chat, and they’re like: ‘You’re falling off. LOL. Good Mixer move, man’. The Mixer move was smart. I don’t regret anything I’ve done.” Ninja feels he doesn’t have to justify his choices to others and if he chooses to reply to all the critics, he would only be giving them unnecessary validation.
