Ninja, The World’s Most Popular Gamer, Earns $500,000 Monthly Playing Fortnite

Tyler Blevins aka Ninja is an American Fortnite streamer who is currently streaming on Microsoft’s Mixer. He is best known for streaming Fortnite. He got his start in gaming and streaming through participating in several Esports teams in competitive play for Halo 3. His popularity rose when together with many other streamers they began playing Fortnite Battle Royale beginning in October 2017

While still streaming on Amazon’s gaming platform Twitch, Ninja is considered to be one of the highest-paid personalities among game streamers, YouTubers, and Esports players. In interviews with CNBC and CNN, Blevins confirmed that he earned more than $500,000 monthly from his more than 160,000 paid Twitch subscribers, which are separate from his 12 million followers on the same platform. Ninja had 3.7 million Twitch followers and more than 5 million YouTube subscribers.

“I think that I offer a combination of high-tier game play that you really can’t get with a lot of other content creators. It’s very difficult to be one of the very best at a video game. I’m very goofy; if you ever watched any of my streams or YouTube videos, I do impressions and stuff like that all the time and just crazy shenanigans. I think the combination of game skill and entertainment is really fun to watch.”, Ninja said in an interview.
