Ninja Becomes The First Mixer Streamer To Reach 1 Million Subscribers

After Ninja, left Twitch to stream exclusively on Microsoft Mixer, he became the first streamer to reach one million subscribers, in less than only a week. Before joining the Microsoft Mixer, he was streaming on Amazon’s streaming platform Twitch and had over 14 million followers. He quickly became the most-viewed and most-followed content creator on the streaming platform Mixer. Even so, Ninja, saw a significant drop in viewership when he made the move, going from 36,146 viewership per stream to a little over 12,000.

This wasn’t a big concern to Ninja, who had left Twitch due to the platform’s restrictive contracts and rules. Unlike his time with Twitch, Ninja, doesn’t rely on subscriptions for income on Mixer. Instead, he signed a contract to stream exclusively on the platform. He is also free to sign deals and sponsorships, which is another big source of income for him.

Ninja, is one of the many streamers to see big numbers, thanks to the ongoing lockdown. With everyone staying indoors, streaming has become a go-to source of entertainment for many around the world.
