Nickmercs States – “I Don’t Like People Calling Me A Cheater”

Nick Kolcheff most commonly known online as Nickmercs is a popular American Twitch streamer and YouTuber. He used to play and stream games such as Fortnite: Battle Royale and Call of Duty: Warzone. He has recently been involved in some controversy as he ranked lobbies and grabbed everyone’s attention due to a third party website.

The website was said to be tracking various in-game statistics for Call of Duty Warzone players that are not even available in the game. Also, this website will tell skill-based matchmaking ranks of your lobbies along with the last 20 games that the player has played. Because of this, the community reacted and accused Nickmercs of cheating and forced him to come out and to offer a response. However, Nickmercs created a response video to the allegations. He pointed out critical flaws with the third party website and why the information is misleading.

He stated during the video; “This site kind of screwed up the rankings man, it is not all correct, in fact it is very, very jaded. The site uses an average of all KDs in the lobby, and this means that they take all KDs and they put them in order from least to greatest and then they take the one KD in the middle and that’s the rank of the lobby. It is actually the median of the lobby and not the average.” In the end, Nickmercs went on to clarify that making jokes about him was just fine, however, accusing him for cheating is not acceptable.
