Nickmercs Gets Viewership Bump

Despite being well-known for his battle royale gaming content, NICKMERCS’ most watched streams this week have been of him playing single-player games.

Hogwarts Legacy’s early access period started earlier this week, and numerous creators have participated in sponsored broadcasts for the newest Harry Potter franchise. One of them was Mercs, who was eager to take a break from the multiplayer grind and engage in some story-focused entertainment. Many gamers have turned to Twitch to watch Hogwarts Legacy because of the accompanying Twitch drops, despite some gamers’ attempts to boycott the game due to author J.K. Rowling’s remarks on transgender individuals.

Hogwarts Legacy was played by Mercs for slightly over 15 hours over two streams, and his time playing the game resulted in the highest average viewing of any game he has played so far this year. According to Streams Charts, the game outperformed Call of Duty: Warzone for him with 28,887 average viewers. Over a little under 138 hours of airtime, he has an average of 21,721 viewers playing Warzone. Less than 20,000 people have tuned in on average to watch Nick play Apex Legends and Fortnite.

Hogwarts Legacy also assisted Nick in 2023 in achieving his best peak audience to date. His top viewership for the game on February 7 was 46,171, which was marginally more than his viewership for Warzone on January 6 of 45,457.

As of right now, Mercs is one of the top 10 most-watched streams of Hogwarts Legacy, and his average viewing ranking for the game is also in the top 10. However, he is far behind the top streamer in the game. The playing of XQc generated approximately 1.9 million hours of viewing, or more than 85,000 per hour. One would anticipate that the Mercs would have a higher average after playing another game at some point this year based on previous data. Although he had roughly 30,000 watchers, his average viewership last year when playing Fortnite, which he played for just under 100 hours, was higher.

In the “sports” area, where he is known to host NFL Thursday Night Football viewing parties in cooperation with the league, Mercs also had a better average.
