New Policy Of Capcom

Japanese video game developer and publisher Capcom updated their video policy on content creation and sharing.

The video policy that Capcom is targeting is the content creators from Twitch, YouTube and Facebook. They said that fan-derived content, such as mods, could be taken down depending on the case.

Capcom will allow content creators who add value to their videos like tutorial, reaction videos, and review videos. They will not allow users from uploading any raw game footage without adding the users content unless the device has “permit sharing”.

Capcom also allows monetization through the hosting sites’ advertising programs. Also the donations through streaming platforms like Twitch’s Bits and YouTube SuperChat are still okay but commercialization using Capcom’s materials is strictly forbidden.

Unofficially released, unauthorized or leaked content to be used in fan videos are also not allowed according to Capcom. They will also refrain content creators from using Capcom titles from illegal , racist, sexist, prejudicial to sexual orientation, hate crimes, sexually explicit, disparaging or any offensive action.

Streaming sites have their own rules and policy and also the developers of the game itself has their own policy and users of the game must follow it no matter what. Disregarding the policy might lead to an account ban.
