NELK Boys Turns Down $1.5m Hosting YouTubers vs TikTokers

According to NELK’s Kyle Forgeard, the YouTube group was offered $1.5 million to host the YouTubers vs. TikTokers Battle of the Platforms event, but after all the backlash, he’s glad they declined.

Social media celebrities from all over the world have entered the boxing ring for the past few years in an attempt to settle old grudges while also earning a tidy sum of money. Some have gone pro and this includes KSI, Logan, and Jake Paul, and others have limited themselves to content creator against content creation fights.

The YouTubers vs TikToker event was arguably the biggest of the lot so far, but the fallout has been drama-filled. AnEsonGib’s draw with Tayler Holder was overturned, giving the British YouTuber the win, and lawsuits have been filed as a result of the lack of payment. The NELK Boys have now disclosed that they came dangerously close to missing the event.

During a recent FULL SEND Podcast while talking to Jordan Belfort, the boys discussed the latest boxing news, with Belfort asking if anyone had been paid out yet. In response, NELK’s Kyle stated; “They offered us like a million and a half to host that event, but we didn’t do it. I’m glad we didn’t do it because we probably wouldn’t have gotten the money.” He then added that he believes the creators were just robbed for participating, but that who knows what’s going on and how it will all play out in the future.

As previously stated, multiple lawsuits have been filed against various parties in connection with the event, with some creators suing ACE Family’s Austin McBroom and others suing LiveXLive. While the aftermath of the incident has been dramatic, there is still a lot of interest in social media personalities fighting, so similar events are likely to recur in the future.
