MsDirtyBird Criticized

Popular Twitch streamer ‘MsDirtyBird,’ who faked a cancer diagnosis, has been criticized for returning to the streaming platform Twitch three weeks after her deception was exposed. She’s started a podcast and is doing commentary, as well as resuming her personal stream.

After claiming she had brain and lung cancer in streams dating back to January 2021, MsDirtyBird was criticized by the Twitch community.

She was fired from her organization, N7 Esports, after admitting to deceiving her viewers, and was forced to issue two apologies after the first was said to be “scripted” by the community.

MsDirtyBird stated that she would be taking a break from streaming for “six months to a year.” She did, however, return to the platform three weeks later to assist with a Rocket League broadcast.

On her return, she said on Twitter she opened her account again to apologize for lying to the Rocket League community and for hurting her fans. She admitted that she lied about having cancer but it was not recently, she lied about it back in January.

According to her she cannot remember telling the story of her having cancer, but she did not realize it was a lie that she couldn’t get out of at the time.

Organized Slips has come under fire for giving MsDirtyBird a platform because of her presence, many viewers decided to “skip” the said stream and she expressed her gratitude to the platform for giving her another chance.

MsDirtyBird also resurrected her personal Twitch stream, which went live on September 16th in front of an average of 20 viewers.

Moderators kept her chat clean, and there were no negative comments.
