MrChanChan Apologizes to Fish Family After Being Banned

MrChanChan is a New Zealand-based twitch streamer who recently apologized to the family of the fish that he smashed during one of his live broadcasts that caused him to get banned on the platform. On May 26th, MrChanchan was banned from the platform after he streamed a fishing trip where he ended up smashing the fish on the ground to death.

The streamer bans’ twitter account tweeted out about MrChanchan’s ban and in reply, it seems like MrChanchan didn’t care about getting banned at all. Mrchanchan replied on his streamer bans’ post stating; “Wow I never knew that my name is mentioned on a 300k followed twitter account! Thank you!” It looks like he is impressed that the account tagged him in a message. But then after a few days of silence, it seems like he now realized his mistake as he uploaded a youtube video of his apology addressing the situation and explained how sorry he was. In the video, he explained; “What happened was, I went fishing the other day and I did a fishing stream. I caught a fish, but the fish was so strong, and I’m not a professional, so I didn’t know how to handle it. So what I did was, I tried to smash the fish to the ground while it was hanging on the fishing rope. That moment caused a problem. After I realized I got banned, I was in a panic, because Twitch is the main source of income for my family.”

He further explained that he began to think more about the incident after he ate the fish and realized he was being selfish doing such a thing. Smashing a fish on the ground is definitely not an ideal way to prepare your dinner and Twitch’s Community Guidelines state that “acts of violence” will be taken seriously.
