Mizkif Shares Thoughts On NFT

Mizkif revealed why he’s glad most Twitch streamers are against NFT sponsorship arrangements, calling them “garbage and scummy” despite the fact that they’re “difficult” to walk away from.

NFT companies have been contacting Twitch streamers in an attempt to persuade them to accept lucrative sponsorship packages. One of the first to mention it was xQc. He even admitted that he had turned down an offer.

On February 19, Mizkif followed suit. He revealed that he’s in the process of negotiating a sponsorship deal with the NFT, but there’s a catch. He wants to give the money away, arguing that he would never take it for himself because it supports “garbage and scummy” practices.

Mizkif stated after watching xQc talks about his deal; “I got an offer too for $700,000. It’s currently in negotiation. I’m trying to get the number up. I’m like, look, your other client already exposed that you offered $1.2 million. I want more. I’ll do a giveaway. How about this? If I get $900,000, I’ll do a giveaway of $800,000. That way, I look good. I’ll do a wholesome stream. And you know what? I’ll make $100,000.”

Then, when a fan told him to take all the money, he said: “I would never. I’m very glad people like me, xQc, and a lot of the other streamers took a very strong stand on NFTs because they are absolutely garbage and scummy. I’m glad that almost everyone is in that same agreement because it is very difficult to walk away from that money. Very difficult. But I’m glad that it’s a reality because [NFT sponsorship deals] are so f**king lame.”

The streamers Miz and xQc aren’t the only ones that oppose NFTs. Among the ranks are Asmongold, Hasan, Pokimane, and a slew of others. Miz, on the other hand, would gladly welcome one for a ‘noble cause,’ such as a large giveaway. He’ll have to promote NFTs in overlays and posts if he accepts the sponsorship offer. However, he believes it will be worthwhile if it allows him to give out hundreds of thousands of dollars to viewers.
