Mizkif Explains Why He Was Hit With “terrifying” Temporary Twitch Ban

Matthew Rinaudo aka Mizkif was banned from Amazon’s gaming platform Twitch. He received a 27-minute ban because of accidentally showing a sexually explicit content.

During his live broadcast, he clicked on his Twitter where his friend Soleil Wheeler aka Ewok posted a TwitLonger link entitled “quitting”. The post was meant to be a joke. Mizkif ended up exploring the social media site and accidentally showed the explicit content. A random Twitter user posted it. Mizkif didn’t expect that it would be shown. Twitch made the decision to ban his account all the same.

Mizkif took responsibility for the ban. When he returned to streaming he explained why it was his fault. He explained that one of his VIP subscribers sent the link to the Ewok’s joke message but didn’t see the explicit content that was on the replies of Ewok’s joke message.

“He sent it to me, and he didn’t know it was there… I clicked it, and there was this kid, from a documentary, from a third-world country, cheering something, and he had his d*ck out. It’s like a kid in a baby pool-type scenario… but it is my fault. I take full responsibility for it. Twitch didn’t give me anything scripted to read—you know if they gave me anything scripted I wouldn’t be able to understand or remember it”, Mizkif stated upon his return.
