MissMikkaa Beats Elden Ring

Elden Ring is the most challenging game most players will ever try to play or finish. Elden Ring is another one of FromSoftware’s infamously challenging games.

It requires character development, learning and adjusting to the numerous moves and forms that these adversaries possess, and dying in order to defeat the game’s various enemies and bosses. The game constantly reminds you to die whenever your character’s health is depleted. Of course, Elden Ring isn’t a task for everyone. Some of these players try to win the game by purposefully using poor builds, beginner gear, or other means that disadvantage them. Then there is the streamer MissMikkaa, who made the decision to fight Elden Ring using just one hand.

After six days of streaming her lone-handed Elden Ring run, MissMikka completed the challenge today. Do you still recall how many weeks or months it took you to complete the game? Yes, she finished in less than a week.

MissMikka devised a setup for her controller in which she used her thumb and palm to control both sticks while her other fingers were used to touch the buttons, bumpers, and triggers on the right side of the controller. Even more impressively, she occasionally switched hands throughout the session, never employing both hands simultaneously, but yet managed to defeat some of the hardest bosses with the hand she was using at the moment rather than her dominant hand. She set up a hand cam to show the controller at all times and covered the hand she wasn’t using for the controller with an oven mitt or a sock to make sure she couldn’t do much on the controller with that hand even if she tried. This was done to avoid habitually grabbing the controller with her other hand during intense moments and to ensure that the one-handed run was approved.

Just let this serve as a reminder to you that you can defeat every boss in Elden Ring. They can all be defeated with one hand. It simply requires some patience and practice.
