Mathil1 Slams Streamers Taking Kick Deals

xQc and other Twitch streamers have come under fire from Australian streamer “Mathil1” for joining Kick, calling them “sub-human scum.”

Many well-known figures in the streaming industry have signed contracts worth millions of dollars since the early 2023 ascent of the Stake-backed site Kick. Top Twitch personalities like Adin Ross have already made the transfer to the new website, and more recently, xQc and Amouranth have followed suit. While some are considering switching to the platform, others, like Pokimane, have expressed a definite aversion for it. She noted that joining Kick would “compromise” her “morals and ethics.”

In a live stream on June 25, Quin69 asked Mathil1 for his thoughts on the entire Kick situation. The Australian Twitch streamer then attacked anyone who had signed up for the new platform. All of those folks are subhuman slime, according to Mathil. The Australian additionally referred to The Juicer and other players who have shifted to Kick as “straight up evil” while noting Quin’s passion for xQc.

He said: “Straight up evil at this point… as far as I’m concerned. I know you love xQc and you think of him as a role model or some sh*t, right? But nah, I think he’s just one of the worst things to happen to streaming. There it is.”

Being a supporter of xQc, Quin defended him, saying that the 27-year-old former Overmatch star might not be aware of the consequences of his conduct. But Mathil retaliated, insisting that xQc is fully aware of his influence within the streaming community. “He does understand. He’s just missing that part that cares about him, that’s all,” he replied. “You can’t not be a bad guy at this point, because what? You entertain some c**ts? You say thanks for a few things? That does not outweigh the damage you’re doing.”

Kick may not be popular with everyone, but more top streamers are likely to sign up for the service given recent hints from site co-owner Trainwrecks that several more significant signings are imminent.
