Markiplier Hits Out At Book Written About Him Without Permission

Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach is one of the most popular and most watched content creators online and one of the most popular names on YouTube, with content reaching 25 million subscribers. Because of his popularity, someone wrote a biography about him but without his permission. The book was written by Philip Wolny.

Mark reviewed the book and made a video about it. Some of the information is correct but also some of it was also wrong. He doesn’t know how this happened. He wasn’t mad about it or angry, still, he consulted his lawyer to check out the legalities.

Markiplier was critical of the parts in the book speaking of his father’s death, describing that he feels that the author “filled in the gaps” and guessed any emotions that he may have been feeling. As far as unofficial biographies are concerned, there is little Markiplier can do, but it is up to Mark and his lawyer to explore whether it is worth pursuing a case of defamation of character.

Markiplier’s frustrations appear to stem from feeling that a large portion of the book is inaccurate and misleading. It remains to be seen what action the YouTuber will take with regards to the book.
