Malaysian Crooner Yuna Is Great

Yunalis binti Mat Zara’ai, known professionally as Yuna, is a Malaysian singer-songwriter. Yuna’s initial exposure came through the viral success of her music uploaded to Myspace, which received over one million plays. She is best known for her collaboration with Usher on her breakout single “Crush” which peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard Adult R&B chart.

Yuna recently revealed that she has started her own Twitch channel. She will be producing music content, acoustic performances, tutorials, interviews and hangout sessions with other artists, hopefully trying out new games and talking to fans. As she stated in an interview, gaming has always been a way for her to wind down at the end of the day after long hours of working.

When she was asked about why she started streaming on Twitch she answered; “It’s a fun way to connect with the fans. Due to the pandemic, artists have limited options to perform for the fans. I feel that with streaming that the sky is the limit! You’ll find fun ways to share with those who have been supporting your music. I can stream anything I want – be it producing music to terrarium making to gaming”.

It seems that she enjoys engaging with her fans as she also stated that she never knew that she had fans who loved gaming, and because of this she was happy to discover more things about the Malaysian gaming scene.
