Ludwig Talks About Being a Twitch Star

Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren has talked about the recent incident where twitch star Felix Lengyel aka xQc and Amouranth had people show up their houses stating that it is terrifying to be a homeowner as a twitch star.

Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren has become one of the most popular streamers on Twitch garnering more than 2.9 million followers on his channel where he plays a variety of games. Aside from streaming games, he is also popular with his esports commentary and his Just Chatting streams. However, being a popular streamer on the platform doesn’t mean that it is always sunshine and rainbows especially when some of the personal information like address gets leaked online.

Doxing or doxxing is the act of publicly revealing previously private personal information about an individual or organization, usually through the Internet. It is a serious crime and puts one’s streamer at risk of being swatted and having trespassers show up to their homes. Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren has talked about this matter during his most recent live broadcast.

He explained how some very basic things, such as buying a house, become very difficult if one is a famous streamer on Twitch or YouTube. He cited examples as well to further strengthen his point. He stated safety concerns as the main reason he is scared of buying a house as some popular streamers who are homeowners are always at risk of having personal details like their home addresses leaked. The first incident he referred to was the arson attack on Amouranth’s home. He then referred to a separate incident where xQc was forced to leave his home due to daily swattings in his home.

The idea of buying a house terrifies Ludwig as he stated; “It’s terrifying that that’s how far you have to go because you don’t feel safe living in your own home.” Ludwig’s comments are a stark reminder of the hardships streamers face when it comes to the safety of their homes. Hopefully, in the future, there will be better measures in place to protect them from being doxxed and a harsher penalty for those who do it.
