Ludwig Banned On Youtube

Ludwig was banned from YouTube just days after leaving Twitch to join the Google-owned company, with many thinking that the surprise ban was the consequence of DMCA violations.

After signing an exclusive streaming deal with Twitch’s arch-rival YouTube, Ludwig has been the buzz of the streaming world in recent days. While Ludwig’s initial stream went off without a hitch, the rising star appears to have found a snag less than 72 hours into his major switch: midway through his December 2nd broadcast, Ahgren was suspended by YouTube for “policy violations” from one of his previous streams.

For the time being, the star’s channel is still accessible, but he can no longer go live. Ludwig has already responded to his YouTube punishment with a humorous retort. “You could say the switch has been going well,” he joked on Twitter.

When the new YouTuber was surprised by the suspension, he had more than 20,000 fans watching him live. Ahgren’s initial stream drew over 680,000 people, and since Tuesday’s big revelation, he’s added over 80k new subscribers, bringing his total subscribers to 2.17 million.

Ludwig was watching other YouTube videos, commenting to streamer news, and communicating with his fans and chatters at the time of the “policy violation.” The star’s streaming restriction, which went into effect on December 2, has already created a lot of discussion, especially over why he was banned. Many believe Ludwig crossed the DMCA line by playing multiple Cocomelon and Pinkfong children’s music videos, including the viral hit “Baby Shark,” on YouTube.
