Livestream Swat

Apex Legends pro player and pro fortnite player Philip Dosen also known as ImperialHal got swatted during his livestream. The incident where ImperialHal was swatted while streaming caused his fans and teammates concern. Lots of law enforcement went to his house when a hoax call was made.

While he was streaming,a loud banging at his door was heard followed up by saying; “Sheriff’s Office”. One of his teammates was surprised when he heard what was happening and continuously asked if he was being swatted.

ImperialHal’s background was heard and police told him to raise his hands and get to the floor. He was heard complying with the law enforcement officials and soon afterwards went back to the game and said that it was all okay.

Law enforcement already knew that it was just a false call when they realized that Hal is streaming playing video games. They advised the streamer to set up a VPN to prevent these kinds of incidents from happening in the future.

Hal said that the police didn’t do anything crazy and that they were pretty civil about it. He explained that it was just a misunderstanding explaining that it wasn’t truly a serious call and was just someone trying to make fun of him. ImperialHal reaction was very calm and seemed not to be bothered by what happened.

People behind these acts are not thinking of the consequences that might happen. There are lots of possible dangers associated with swatting. Streamers like ImperialHal hope that these kinds of ‘jokes’ will be stopped.
