Limmy Criticizes “Hypocrites” on Twitch Hot Tub And ASMR Meta

Many streamers and personalities have been sharing their concerns on the new controversy within the community, the ASMR meta where streamers were laying down their bed while wearing yoga pants and licking their ASMR microphones. Now, the Scottish Twitch streamer Brian Limond aka Limmy has also recently weighed in on the issue as he criticized fellow streamers for what he called ‘selective outrage’.

Limmy is a previous stand-up comedian and TV star who turned to a full time twitch streamer to facilitate his comedy career. He has now been on Twitch for some time and has become sporadically involved in the community at large.

Limmy has recently shared his opinions on the recent topic that was dominating within the community and it was the hot tub and ASMR meta which some argue are used to manipulate Twitch’s guidelines on sexual content. Both big hot tub streamers Amouranth and indiefoxx have been banned from the platform for doing these kinds of streams.

After this, several streamers have shared concerns about ad revenue on the site and, with the discussion in full flow. Limmy posted a twitter thread on June 20th discussing the current controversy. On his tweet, he criticized those behind the outrage, describing their condemnation of the recent metas as “selective outrage”. He pinpointed the streamers who have complained about the hot tub and ASMR metas, only to have profanity on their own profiles and timelines.

Limmy feels that those complaining about the hot tub and ASMR metas are being disingenuous given the other issues Twitch has in terms of ensuring all its content adheres to its guidelines.
