LilyPichu Exposes Racist Abuse She Received

Lily Ki, most commonly known online as LilyPichu is a popular Korean-American YouTuber and variety Twitch streamer who mostly posts highlights of her livestreams on her YouTube channel. She mainly streams Just chatting content and a variety of games such as Among Us and Rust. Recently, lily took one day off from streaming. She was hit with racist remarks from some viewers who were upset that they might miss out on the Rust drops.

In rust drops, the fans are able to get various items to bolster their inventories. Receiving in-game item drops by watching Twitch streams is a new feature that started on January 7th following Rust’s surge in popularity. Lilypichu has a personalized item and that is a LilyPichu jacket that players can earn by watching her for 2 hours. However, on the rust website, it states that 4 hours are required and lily dropped the hours because she streams less often than others as she explained on Twitter. Some fans considered her explanation, but some fans also made racist comments out of anger.

Lily tweeted out showing some of the messages she received, both publicly and privately, and explained that some viewers attempted to harass her mods into getting her back to playing Rust on Twitch. One viewer said; “Wanted to say now that I can, that you’re a trash person for asking your mods to ban people asking about twitch drops. I’m going to dance on your grave someday you filth get off my game.”
