LATAM Tournament slated For November 21

Tencent Games announced on Monday that it is collaborating with Twitch and with the technology company Xiaomi, with influencers and pro players for a PUBG Mobile tournament in Latin America. The event called Copa América PocoX3 (America Cup PocoX3), will primarily highlight the release of Xiaomi’s latest PocoX3 NFC smartphone.

Copa América PocoX3 will feature 25 teams with one influencer, one pro player, one guest, and one player from the audience each, having a prize pool that adds up to $7,000 to be divided between the three first places.

The four winning players will also both get one Poco X3 NFC smartphone, while eight Mi Band 5 wearable activity trackers are designated for the second and third place players. During the official stream, the viewer will also have the chance to win the latest smartphone and other prizes as well.

The competition will be held on November 21st and will be broadcast in Spanish (pubgmobile) and Portuguese (pubgmobilept) through the official PUBG Mobile Twitch channels. It is Xiaomi’s second move in less than a month to LATAM’s mobile esports markets, as it was recently announced as one of the sponsors of the Arena of Valor tournament in Brazil.
