KomodoHype Is The New PogChamp

As twitch recently decided to remove the official face of the popular twitch pogchamp emote which is Ryan Gutierrez aka Gootecks, they decided to change the face of the pogchamp every 24 hours using the face of other twitch streamers. Twitch removed Gootecks as the face of the pogchamp because of the insensitive comments made by him recently on twitter.

Some streamers such as CriticalBard have gotten to be the face of the emote, however, due to the backlash he was getting from some of the fans, some users and streamers weren’t interested in becoming the new face. Some Twitch users wanted PogChamp to be replaced by KomodoHype. The KomodoHype is a snake whose mouth is open wide just like Gootecks PogChamp emote. It had everything PogChamp had but with a larger mouth and some reptilian skin.

According to the statistics gathered by Twitchemotes.com, it shows that KomodoHype was used more than one million times per day from January 7th to 9th after being used less than 300,000 times a day in the months prior on average. Regardless, Twitch hasn’t suggestinged that it’s going back on its promise to make PogChamp a different face every day. Recently, they promoted its daily PogChamp face change on social media.
