Kai Cenat Trolls Adin Ross

Kai Cenat Trolls Adin Ross

On April Fool’s Day, Kai Cenat called Adin Ross to mislead him into believing that he was switching from Twitch to Kick, the rival broadcasting service supported by Ross and Trainwreck.

There were many April Fool’s hoaxes yesterday, but Kai Cenat’s one might have just won first place because he left Adin and another person in a very perplexed discussion. “Guess who’s coming to Kick?!” Kai yelled over the phone as he dialed Adin’s personal number.

When one of Twitch’s top streamers was expected to join the rival network, Adin inquired as to whether a contract had been signed. “Wait, have you signed a deal already? Did you get in early?” The conversation then abruptly shifted to Kai Cenat asking Adin if he was streaming.

This joke’s success can be attributed, in part, to the fact that Kick is currently the subject of a significant marketing campaign. Deals are reportedly being made with a number of well-known figures, including GMHikaru, who is the most popular chess streamer on Twitch. Kick positions itself as a direct rival to Twitch, outpacing Twitch’s 50-50 donation divide with a 95-5 split. The biggest names on Kick include Destiny, a seasoned political streamer who recently inked a contract with them, Adin Ross, who joined after being banned from Twitch, and Trainwreck, one of the platform’s early backers.

Although one of these might have been an April Fool’s Day joke, Trainwreck and Adin have hinted that the platform will soon be getting some major new signings. Kick has also demonstrated its financial strength by securing major sponsorship deals, such as taking over from Stake as the Alfa Romeo F1 team’s car sponsor.
