Kaceytron Accused of Saying Racial Slur

Twitch streamer Kaceytron has denied that she used a racial slur while singing during a livestream clarifying what she actually said. Kaceytron is a well-known personality on Twitch, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitch and YouTube combined for her humorous streams and interactions with other broadcasters.

Recently, she took to social media to combat claims that she said a racial slur while singing along to a song in a past broadcast. She wrote on twitter explaining; “There’s a clip of me surfacing where it SOUNDS like I am saying the N-Word. I FULLY understand that it SOUNDS like I am saying it. However, I am not. This isn’t the first time in Twitch history someone has said something that started with an ‘N’ and is misheard as the N-word.” According to her, she was singing along with Tech9’s “Hood Go Crazy” and the lyrics are  “Kansas City natives and we’re all a little kookoo.”

Then she further explained that she was wearing a mask while singing, making it even more difficult to accurately discern what was said. To support her claim that she did not say a racial slur at that time, she posted the VOD of the incident as well. Whether Kaceytron said a racial slur during the said stream, her fans have been vocal in their support of the content creator. And it seems that the incident is uncertain enough that it’s unlikely to result in yet another ban from Twitch.
