James Tavernier’s Covid Recovery Nightmare

As part of James Tavernier recovery from Covid, he says that he’ll be back in full training but he’s still suffering from the virus’s effects on his taste buds.

After contracting the virus, the Rangers captain hasn’t played for the club since their win over Ross County last month. He was one of several Rangers players and staff to test positive, with manager Steven Gerrard also missing the second leg against Alashkert and the season’s first Old Firm derby.

According to Tavernier, he says during his recent Twitch stream that he’s feeling better now and that he can’t wait to resume full training with his teammates on Monday.

In response to a fan question, he thanked his fan’s concern about his health saying that he is looking forward to getting back into training. So far, I’ve had a couple of sessions.

The Ibrox manager also revealed how badly he was affected by the virus and claims it was everything he’d feared, and he still doesn’t have his sense of taste, despite being given permission to leave isolation.
