James Charles Receives Backlash After Tagging Twitch Streamer Purpled

American beauty YouTuber and makeup artist James Charles has once again came under fire after posting an instagram story tagging Twitch streamer Purpled which shows in the background.

The controversial and wildly popular makeup guru James Charles took a few months off social media in April after admitting that he had reckless conversations with two underage boys. Earlier this month, James returned to social media but his comeback has met with mixed responses from the netizens. Some welcomed him back with open arms but some have seemingly found his apology difficult to digest.

Now, he has surrounded himself in drama once again after he tagged Minecraft player and twitch streamer Purpled in his Instagram story and his actions have also led to reactions by Twitter users. On July 19th, James had uploaded an Instagram story tagging Purpled. In the story, James revealed he was prepping up for a glam session.

James captioned the picture stating; “About to get glam ft realpurpled playing bedwars to keep me entertained.” According to the picture, James was watching Purpled’s live stream but when he recieve a massive backlash because of this, he instantly removed the Instagram story. On twitter, given the twitch streamer Purpled status as a minor, viewers were quick to question James’ intentions.

Some users commented to “save Purpled” while others felt this was an overreaction. Another user also jokingly said that; “James Charles isn’t allowed to view Purpled’s content until he turns 18.” As of now, James Charles or Purpled, who appears to be inactive on most of his social channels, has still not responded to the tweets.
