JakeNBake Successfully Appeals Twitch Ban

Twitch streamer JakeNBake has now been unbanned after 2 days of being banned from the platform and appealed right away. Back on March 26, Jakenbake was temporarily banned from Twitch after viewers reported him using his phone while driving. His ban was originally a seven day ban but after he appealed, his suspension was not removed but it has shortened.

After he got banned, he opened up about the situation on Twitter and shared his side of the story as he believes he has sufficient grounds to submit a ban appeal because it happened on a private race track. He wrote on twitter; “Based on the context of the situation, I will be submitting a ban appeal. Due to the environment and nature of how it happened — I don’t believe it falls under the same category as using your phone while driving normally.”

Now, after 2 days and 20 hours of being banned, he has now been unbanned on twitch and allowed to go back streaming on the platform. He revealed via posting on twitter that he is now able to be back on Twitch stating; “Great news! It seems our appeal worked – for the most part. Suspension was not removed, but shortened. Happy to see that once context was reviewed, changes were made. Too bad my hot tub didn’t arrive in time for the comeback stream. Stay tuned for our first stream back!”

JakeNBake agrees that the suspension “made sense” after all.
