In-Game Toxicity

Well known Twitch Streamer and Valorant player Macaiyla faced the horror of being a female twitch streamer and faced harassment while playing Valorant. She was subjected to intense sexist abuse and was called for physical violence against her while playing in a competitive match.

Verbal abuse and sexist behavior are instances that you can encounter while playing any competitive game. Especially when you’re a female streamer, where viewers feel that they are entitled enough to abuse the streamer and call them names. Twitch streamer Macaiyla experienced verbal abuse from one of her teammates and called for physical violence against her during their ranked match.

While playing, her teammate wasn’t happy with the outcome of the game and went on a sexist tirade against her. One of her teammates continuously insulted Macaiyla and called her names. The player’s behavior and language was overwhelming and shocking.

Macaiyla’s chat raged over her teammate and she called him out. Many people in the community were disgusted by her teammate’s behavior. Many supported her and Macaiyla was seemingly unbothered by the incident.

When she was advised by one of her viewers to report it, she responded and said that she won’t report it because she doesn’t think that Riot games cares about it. She handled the situation calmly and managed to brush it off, and showed that she didn’t care.

Riot Games is now aware of what happened and said that they are working it out to correct, but no updates or information about it has been given as of now.
