Ibai Banned on Twitch Again

Prominent Spanish Twitch streamer Ibai has now once again been banned for the third time for an unintentional display of nudity during a live broadcast. On June 15th, Twitch streamer Ibai tweeted out explaining to his fans that he wasn’t surprised that he had been handed a ban on the platform. During the most recent live broadcast, while partaking in a freestyle rap battle tournament on his channel, a male participant flashed his buttocks and it was shown on stream and this appears to be the reason for his latest ban.

The incident happened in such a way that Ibai couldn’t do anything more than a verbal warning but not before it was too late. He explained on his twitter post; “I desperately yelled a “NOOOO” as he turned around but I couldn’t help it.” Following the display of Nudity, Ibaii’s channel was taken off the Amazon-owned streaming platform on June 15th. Then in another tweet, Ibai went on to explain that this has become his third ban on his channel and each time the reason has been out of his control. So, he urged other creators to be careful who they invite to be on their broadcasts as according to him, Twitch doesn’t care about context.

He stated; “People have the power to ban you on Twitch. Be careful who you invite to your channels.” It’s unclear exactly how long Ibai’s ban will last but, hopefully, it’s not too long and he can return to streaming as soon as possible. The announcement triggered an outpour of support from fans and the community with a common demand that his channel gets reinstated. Being handed a third ban usually means that the streamer might be permanently banned from the platform unless Twitch chooses to let go of it. Regardless, the hashtag #FreeIbai is trending on Twitter and it should be enough to get Twitch’s attention.
