Seagull Shared About How He Overcame Depression

Twitch streamer Brandon Larned aka Seagull has recently been back from streaming after taking a long hiatus or twitch break and during his return stream, he went on to share on how he overcame depression during his break. Seagull is an American video game streamer and retired professional Overwatch player. He established himself as one of the most popular Overwatch streamers on Twitch. Back in January 2021, Seagull announced that he will be stepping away from streaming on Twitch because of burnout and depression.

On January 25th, he posted on twitter announcing to his fans that they don’t get to see him for quite some time as he will be taking a break because of depression. He did give some hope for an eventual return to the internet as stated; “Don’t forget I exist. I’ll see you guys next time.” Now after under six months of being away from twitch, he recently returned on twitch to play games and watch Summer Game Fest footage with his chat. Then during his grand return streaming on twitch, he went on to discuss how he managed to overcome his depression during his long break.

According to Seagull, he made good use of his time away from twitch to improve his mental state and make better lifestyle choices. Then he told a funny story about one of his first-ever sessions with a therapist, and how they provided an external viewpoint on his life. He also says that he started treating himself like he does his dog in order to create more of a lifestyle change. Now, it is clear that Seagull is doing a lot better than he was before his break. He stated; “The impact of regularly going outside and seeing the sunlight has legitimately a very, very positive impact on my life in particular. So that’s been nice.”
