The 2022 Honda Civic Debuts on Twitch

Rather than the regular live stream on YouTube or Facebook, Honda has opted to unleash the 2022 Honda Civic concept through the Twitch video streaming site. The app is known more for streaming live videos of video game players than for introducing new vehicles. But if you’re a car manufacturer, and your car happens to cater to millennial markets like the Civic, Twitch is the place to be.

Virtual streamed celebrations will start at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 17th on the Honda Head2Head streaming service. The final revelation will not actually happen until 9:45 p.m. The show will be hosted by Twitch personalities Rachel Seltzer and MonsterDface. Grammy-nominated performer Cordae will perform live.

The specifics of the new 2022 Civic are scarce, but Honda promises it will “lift the bar for design, output, safety, and modern technology in the compact car segment.” We already know that sedan, hatchback, Si, and Type R models will be available, and manual gear will be offered. Honda posted a preview video of the Civic concept on November 12th.

As of the moment, this will be the 11th edition Honda Civic, although the car being displayed is currently considered a concept.
