HasanAbi Reacts to Myth’s YouTube Move

Twitch streamer and political analyst Hasan “HasanAbi” recently congratulated pro gamer Ali “Myth” on his spectacular move to YouTube Gaming during a livestream.

On July 11th, Myth, a 23-year-old professional esports player with more than 7.4 million Twitch subscribers, tweeted about his decision to go to YouTube. Last night, the former competitive Fortnite player played Fall Guys and Valorant during his debut YouTube stream, which lasted for five hours. Hasan, a 30-year-old Turkish-American streamer, congratulated Myth and exclaimed:  “I’m very proud of him.”

HasanAbi, who is well known for his political commentary videos, used his Twitch channel to support Myth, a former TSM member who just declared that he will only be broadcasting on YouTube. Hasan received a request to respond to the announcement video while speaking on his stream. After watching the entire clip, the former member of “The Young Turks” said: “D*mn, that’s crazy! Congratulations to Myth, who went over to YouTube. Yes, Myth went over to YouTube, and I’m very proud of him. I’m very happy for him and I support his decision.”

Hasan responded further when a viewer commented on the platform switch. Reading the chat, he added: “‘Just changing the OBS settings from Twitch to YouTube is not that big of a deal?’ For the audience, it is. I think for the audience, it is definitely a big deal. That’s why a lot of people are like sad, ’cause a lot of people don’t necessarily change and your audience will change as well. I don’t think so. I think he has a different audience and a larger audience on YouTube, maybe. I think his YouTube channel is massive.”

Not only Myth, but several well-known streamers have also switched from the Amazon-owned site to YouTube. LilyPichu, an OTV member, recently declared that she would leave Twitch as well.
