HasanAbi And PO Box Gifts

When Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker unboxed a gift set from Rachel Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter’s controversial RFLCT skincare brand that had been sitting in his PO Box for nine months, he was at a loss for words.

Valkyrae, a YouTube star, got herself in hot water in October 2021 after announcing the introduction of her own blue light skincare business, RFLCT. With streamers and fans alike slamming the products, it wasn’t long before the brand was shut down for good. Valkyrae has since moved on from the drama and even feels comfortable enough to joke about the RFLCT backlash with her followers, despite the fact that it caused her a lot of worry. Despite this, the iconic dispute around the skincare line continues to erupt from time to time within the streaming community, as it did during Hasan’s livestream on May 31st.

After a nine-month wait, Hasan decided to open some of the gifts he’d received from fans via his PO box live on his Twitch feed. However, he saw something unsettlingly familiar about one of the boxes’ packaging. Hasan remarked, “I don’t even know if I want to open this. If this is what I think it is… Okay, let’s just go. Let’s just open it.”

Hasan exposed the RFLCT insignia on the box top with a knowing grin to the camera, driving fans into fits of laughter. He then fully opened the package, revealing a selection of RFLCT skincare goods as well as a note from Valkyrae within. Given Valkyrae’s broken relationship with RFLCT, Hasan joked that the product was “officially a collectible.” He also claimed that the set was provided to him in October, well before the controversy erupted.

Hasan’s reaction was particularly amusing, given that he was one of the streamers that reacted to Valkyrae’s first outrage. Despite the fact that he claimed in his most recent stream that Valkyrae was “gaslighted” into endorsing RFLCT. Valkyrae has yet to comment to the video, but fans agreed that Hasan should keep the set because it could become valuable in the future.
