Hasan Donated $10K

Hasan, a popular Twitch streamer, donated $10,000 to former Master Chef contestant Christine Corley’s GoFundMe while reacting to the show on stream. Corley was diagnosed with cirrhosis, an end-stage liver disease, while raising money for medical bills.

Twitch streamers have had access to many hours of entertainment thanks to Master Chef. Hasanabi, xQc, Trainwrecks, and others at the top of Twitch have all reacted to Master Chef and related shows at one point or another.

During the broadcast, a viewer in Hasan’s chatroom posted a link to Corley’s GoFundMe page. Hasan gave the heart-wrenching description to his audience of over 30,000 people, a fan favorite from season two of Master Chef. Shortly after reading the article, the Twitch streamer made a $10,000 gift to help Corley with his medical bills.

Hasan pushed Corley’s GoFundMe to within $4,000 of her goal before donating $15,000 to her. Community members have flooded Corley’s campaign with support since Hasan’s initial payment. Corley has currently raised $31,794 with over 300 donations within hours of the campaign’s stream launch.

Corley acknowledged and praised Hasan’s enormous following for the outpouring of support for her page on Twitter. Having been given a grim prognosis with only six months to a year to live, Hasan’s efforts can at least cover the chef’s mounting medical expenditures.
