Gaming And eSports On Swiss Schools

Switzerland’s major telecommunications provider is Swisscom AG. They are now fully embracing digital teaching resources.

They are currently offering Swiss schools eSports and gaming. This digital teaching resource will provide basic technical knowledge and will strengthen the media skills of pupils, in line with the start of the fifth season of the Swiss Hero League. This is a good sign of Swisscom’s ongoing commitment to developing media skills. In modern times, it is now important that young people learn how to use all digital mediums correctly because more than 70% of Swiss are playing games on a regular basis. Swisscom officially supports schools with free digital teaching resources of gaming and eSports which equips teachers to offer students in classes 7-9 a new and engaging elective subject. The 30 lessons are divided into eight modules. The materials that will be used will impart basic knowledge on the mechanics and meaning of games including the business models. They will also offer workshops for teachers as an introduction so that in the near future, they will be able to teach independently.

The main highlights of these lessons will also raise the students’ awareness of their own gaming behavior.
