Ethan Klein Removes Frenemies Episode

H3H3’s Ethan Klein recently explained why comments from Trisha Paytas made him feel “obligated” to remove an episode of Frenemies from YouTube and other sites not long after it was removed.

Trisha Paytas and Klein ended their “Frenemies” podcast earlier in 2021, sparking a flurry of controversy. Ethan removed a previous episode of the podcast from listings until Paytas can illuminate the situation.

Ethan Klein wrote on Twitter that it has come to his attention that Trisha, in episode #17 of frenemies, named a teacher by name and accused him of molesting her during school and then claimed that the teacher was arrested and sentenced.

According to Ethan, some of Paytas’ claims in the episode didn’t match up with the facts available and that she claimed that another person had come forward and claimed that he had molested them as well. Ethan Klein went on to say that upon closer examination, these claims appear to be at odds with the evidence and because of the nature of the said claims and the stress they are causing to his family, he decided to take the episode off the air for the time being.

Ethan Klein said on Twitter that just because the episode was removed doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe Trisha Paytas and concluded that he want to emphasize that he does not believe Trisha would lie about something like that, that is why he want to give her the opportunity to clarify things but unfortunately, the said teacher has passed away and is unable to defend himself, that is why he feel obligated to remove it for the time being.

Paytas has yet to respond to the episode’s removal as of this writing.
