Dream Cheekily Responds to “Catfishing” Rumors

Popular Minecraft youtube personality Dream had a cheeky response to the “catfishing” accusations after a purported photo of him began circulating around social media. Dream has been facing quite a lot of controversy in the past weeks. From his minecraft speedrun cheating to his plan on face reveal. He recently appeared in an interview with fellow influencer Anthony Padilla and discussed a lot of topics including the cheating on minecraft speedrun, doing a future face reveal and about admitting to throwing out his ADHD medication.

After the future face was revealed, a massive Twitter thread containing purported racist behavior from Dream took off online. Dream has now been accused of “catfishing” his viewers after a purported photo of him surfaced amid the Twitter drama. A twitter user posted a photo on twitter claiming that it was Dream in real life as he/she allegedly discovered the pic through his family’s personal Facebook profiles. Aside from this, what’s causing a new controversy surrounding the photo is that the fact that the purported picture of him isn’t exactly what fans had in mind when imagining what the faceless YouTuber would really look like.

Because of this, angry critics accused the YouTuber of using a body double in photos and videos with many of them saying that Dream was using his brother as a possible “body double” for his Instagram photos. Well, it didn’t take long until Dream responded to the critics as he posted a cheeky Tweet reacting to the scandal. He posted a photo of a computer-generated image of a blonde Caucasian man with blue eyes with a caption: “Decided to face reveal… Please be nice.”
