Dream Responds To Backlash

Minecraft YouTube content creator Dream has slammed his followers once more after concerns about how he utilizes tone in his tweets, which has led to misunderstandings.

Dream is without a doubt one of YouTube’s top stars in the current era. The Minecrafter is best known for founding the renowned Dream SMP server, which has garnered an amazing army of over 28 million subscribers to date. However, his devoted fandom has caused problems, forcing him to intervene and retaliate against his own community. Now that his fans are grumbling about his tweets, he’s had to put them on blast once more.

On March 23rd, the Minecraft YouTube king blasted his fans for mistaking his sarcastic tweets for serious messages and using them against him. he wrote; “If I see one more person taking something sarcastic that I say in a serious way and using it as an attack on my character, I might just sign up to be sent to Mars because this planet has no hope.”

Fans, on the other hand, criticized Dream for not making the tone of his tweets clear enough, which inevitably leads to misunderstandings. However, the Minecraft star went on to slam his community for criticizing him when he does make his tone apparent.

Dream agreed stating; “Tone tags are great and I should use them more. But, the amount of times I get attacked for using them ‘he literally just put /s to make his a**holeness sounds like a joke.’ People that don’t like me will take it as seriously regardless and the other way around. It goes both ways. If I’m being an a**hole, sometimes my fans will defend me and give me the benefit of doubt. If I’m being sarcastic or making a joke, people that dislike me will assume I’m being an a**hole and slaughter me. Goes both ways, one has hateful intent though.”

The YouTube star is still growing and showing no signs of slowing down. Small misunderstandings like these, hopefully, become less often.
