Dream Donates $1 For Every Coin His Team Gets

The most well-known speedrunner in Minecraft, Dream, comes back with increased support for Pride Month in 2022.

This time, the entire game’s fan base and content creators will unite for a unique edition of the legendary Minecraft Championship (MCC): Pride Edition.

Dream announced in a tweet about the limited-edition MCC an hour ago that he would pay $1 to The Trevor Project for each coin one of his team members received. The Trevor Project is a well-known group that supports the LGBTQ+ community by working to prevent suicide and provide crisis intervention. The 22-year-old video creator and streamer is well recognized for her advocacy of the LGBTQ+ community and her involvement in charitable causes. The streamer is back at it, and this time, along with many of his friends and other content creators, he is showing his support on a larger scale more than half a month after sending out a tweet pouring with enthusiasm and wishing his viewers a happy pride month.

The MCC is a yearly competition that throws a ton of various content creators against one another in a series of amicable contests.

All proceeds from other sources (like donations) are typically given to a number of charitable organizations, even though the tournament has no prizes and is solely focused on enjoyment and uniting the community. During the competition, points are kept by earning “coins.” The 10 participating teams, each with four members, will participate in a variety of mini-games once the MCC has begun. Parkour, survival, fighting, teamwork, and more are just a few of the different Minecraft basic mechanics that are the basis for each mini-game.

The top two teams with the most coins compete against each other once more to determine the tournament winner once eight mini-games have been completed.
