DrDisrespect: YouTube Doesn’t Support Him

DrDisrespect, a well-known livestreamer, blasted his platform once more while praising the expansion of his channel despite what he claimed was YouTube’s lack of support.

In June 2020, DrDisrespect received a notoriety-making permanent ban from Twitch, the cause of which is still a mystery. Only a few weeks later, DrDisrespect discovered a new location for YouTube livestreaming. DrDisrespect was one of the first well-known streamers to switch from Twitch to another platform, although against their will. Since joining YouTube, the previous streamer of the year has worked hard to grow his fan base and establish himself as one of the site’s top livestreaming content creators. DrDisrespect, however, asserts in a recent Tweet that YouTube was not a factor in his success.

DrDisrespect talked about his time as his alter ego on YouTube in a tweet from his real Guy Beahm account.

He wrote; “It’s amazing to think the platform Doc streams on doesn’t support him one bit. No follow, zero communication, absolutely no love. The impact we’ve had on YouTube streaming growth is insane. We’ve been taken advantage of… Jesus YouTube, show some respect.”

Throughout his comparatively brief stay on the platform, DrDisrespect has openly criticized YouTube before. The streamer publicly unfollowed YouTube in May 2022 after complaining that the website in no way supports its livestreaming division. Numerous additional streamers, including Ludwig, Valkyrae, Sykkuno, CourageJD, TimTheTatman, and many others, have secured exclusive contracts with YouTube since DrDisrespect made the jump.

Despite the platform’s considerable increase in the number of broadcasters, the website’s support system for streamers has drawn criticism from both artists and viewers.

DrDisrespect is happy with his accomplishment, but he is aware that YouTube should be doing more to help its creators.
