Dr Disrespect Talks About Interest In Warzone

Following the Season Two update, Dr Disrespect has taken another shot at Warzone and the state of the Call of Duty battle royale, claiming Raven Software’s title has now hit “rock bottom” after more than 18 months of decline.

The two-time has never been shy about sharing his thoughts on Warzone, particularly when it comes to gun balance, persistent bug difficulties, and a lack of content drops. Dr Disrespect, on the other hand, seemed to have accepted Warzone’s fate this time. The 100-player battle royale has been running for almost two years, first under the direction of Infinity Ward and then Raven Software. After a rough start to Season Two on Monday, Feb. 14, the top streamer believes it’s now at an all-time low.

In a recent stream, the two-time star stated to his YouTube fans, “I’ve had enough. I think I’m switching over right now. It [Warzone] is just not going to do it for me.”

There wasn’t a single thing that enraged the Doc in the Warzone, yet there had been many in the past. Instead, the YouTuber claimed that he was tired of waiting for the flagship Call of Duty game to improve. Every aspect of Raven Software’s battle royale has become “a real chore to play,” he claimed, with a new spot fire appearing in every direction.

The second season of Warzone Pacific premiered on February 14th. Redeploy Balloons, Portable Decontamination Stations, and two new POIs in Caldera—Research Labs and Chemical Factory—were introduced to the battle royale with the update. The Doc claims that none of it has “saved” the game.

Dr. Disrespect said, “I’m just not in it. I haven’t gotten into it since this map [new battleground Caldera, released in December] was introduced. I’m just not into this game. It’s insane. I am literally not interested in Call of Duty right now. This might be the least interesting I’ve ever been for this game. It must just be the way the game looks, the situation of the game right now, and the design of this map. I can’t get into it. Not at all, yeah.”

Dr Disrespect’s dire predictions for Warzone’s future come just days after Raven Software announced plans for a Call of Duty battle royale sequel. The follow-up—aptly titled Warzone 2, for now—is being developed on an entirely new gaming engine “from the ground-up” in a bid to avoid many of its predecessor’s issues. The sequel is scheduled to be released in 2023. Warzone will be Call of Duty’s flagship battle royale game until then. The developers also intend to include a Warzone rated mode in the near future.
