Dr Disrespect Shares Thoughts About New Platform Kick

When Trainwreck announced yesterday that he would be working with a new startup streaming network called Kick, he had some harsh words for Twitch, and a man who is renowned for having a little bit of contempt for the platform echoed his sentiments.

In the summer of 2020, Dr. Disrespect received an indefinite suspension from Twitch, and he hasn’t been particularly complimentary ever since. Disrespect settled his case with Twitch and is now on YouTube, but on December 6 he didn’t hesitate to express his opinions on his previous site.

Trainwreck criticized Twitch for the majority of his 1,108-word post on Kick.com, where he is still a partnered streamer (for the time being). He frequently harped on the avarice of Twitch and its parent company, Amazon, which he says is not acting in the best interests of content creators, as being the main problem. The two-time made sure to take a second and correct a mistake Train made while also taking a shot at Twitch himself. According to Train, Twitch is earning significant money off of the backs of producers who are being primarily exploited.

He said; “There’s one thing completely wrong in your update Train… the purple snakes are nowhere near being profitable. It’s a money pit for Amazon. Big one. The platform is stapled together by the mere existence of only a handful of creators and their communities. It’s inevitable.”

Train gave Doc a “100” emoji in response, indicating that he entirely agreed with Disrespect’s assessment that maybe the most important aspect of his argument was founded on false facts. Nevertheless, the two continued to talk about their future drinking plans.

Numerous questions have previously been raised about Kick.com’s beginnings. It has a design that is obviously meant to replicate Twitch and dubious ties to the online casino Stake, whose content was removed from Twitch because it violates American laws.
